just wanted to share my recent visa experience.

applied at the san francisco consulate. dropped off my application on monday morning. picked up my passport with visa on friday. 4 business days.

i brought my flight confirmation and hotel bookings for the whole trip. also a bank statement showing around 2000 usd. they didn't ask for the bank statement but i brought it just in case.

the application form online was straightforward. took about 20 minutes.

one thing i almost missed. they need a copy of your flight itinerary and hotel bookings. not just the confirmation numbers.
