i ate a lot of street food in china. here's what i tried and liked.

jianbing. the breakfast crepe. crispy, savory, and cheap. the vendor made it in like 2 minutes. best breakfast i had.

roujiamo. chinese hamburger. meat stuffed in bread. ate it for lunch a few times. filling and cheap.

baozi. steamed buns with meat inside. got them from a small cart in the morning. 1 usd for 2.

skewers. grilled meat on sticks. ate these at night. lamb was my favorite.

stinky tofu. tried it once. never again. smells like garbage but people love it. not for me.

if you're nervous about street food just go to busy stalls. locals know which ones are safe.
