got a 10 year multiple entry visa. here's how.
applied for my chinese tourist visa last month and got a 10 year multiple entry. sharing what i did.i applied at the washington dc consulate. submitted my passport, application form, photo, flight booking, and hotel reservations.
one thing that helped. i included a cover letter explaining that i travel to china regularly for work and leisure. i mentioned my past trips and that i always follow the rules.
i also showed my previous china visas from the last few years. that probably helped prove i'm a low risk traveler.
the officer asked me a few questions. why i travel to china so often. i said for business meetings and tourism.
processing took about 5 days. i paid the fee and got my passport back with the 10 year visa.
if you've traveled to china before and have a clean record, you might qualify for the longer visa.
anyone else got a 10 year visa? which consulate did you use?
